Welcome! I use Obsidian to manage my tea notes, and over time, I have grown a large personal wiki. I have been wanting to share these more publicly for a long time, but tea notes are sensitive and cannot always be widely distributed. For that reason, I have created three versions of this page:
- My own personal notes 🔒
- This site, which is locked down to Lafayette Shachu members only.
- A public site, which is globally accessible.
Please be conscientious with how you use this site, and who you distribute information to. If there is a page you would like to share outside of this shachu, please reach out to Dario and ask.
General use
- Japanese Phrases (Okeiko Aisatsu) - Phrases used to greet the teacher before and after okeiko.
- Japanese Phrases (Usucha Temae) - Phrases used during usucha temae.
- Gomei - A list of poetic names, both seasonal and zengo.
Procedures
Okashi
Misc
- Chanoyu Quarterly - A repository of the entire Chanoyu Quarterly pdf collection. This contains most of the Konarai procedures, as well as a vast collection of think pieces and articles.
- Oiemoto 100 Questions - Zabosai answered a list of arbitrary 100 questions some years ago. I did an unsupervised translation with ChatGPT on them.
- The Art and Science of Chaji - A manuscript from our late and dear Gary Cadwallader-sensei. An absolute treasure trove of chaji insight.
